Literature Text

Go on and twist me,I wont scream.
Dress me up or paint my nails.
Sit me on your bed at night,
and tell me pretty fairy tales.

Cross my heart
and hope I die
stick a needle in my eye

Brush my platinum hair.
Paint my ivory cheeks.
Or pick me up and throw me,
kick me till I'm weak.

Cross my heart
and hope I die
stick a needle in my eye

Play "games" with me at night.
Keep the monsters locked up tight.
Please dont bring it out again,
tell me it'll be alright.

Cross my heart
and hope I die
stick a needle in my eye.

Please dont play with trainsets.
Or trinkets from the mall.
I'm the better toy,
your pretty plastic doll.

Crossed my heart
and hoped to die
stuck a gun between my eyes.
Most of my poems contain hidden meanings, and many of them are about or have references to dolls or toys.

If you want to know the meaning behind that ask.

Nicely written.
The child-like language nicely conveys the I persona's innocence and fragility.
This could just be caused by the degredation that she has been forced into. She has be degraded into a innocent child emotionally, under the hand of what seems to be her abuser.
However, the poem may actually be from the child's perspective. Unable to comprehend the situation with a mature mind, she uses the idea of dolls and toys.
